Sussex County Education Association Covid Pride Event organized by SCEA Pride Chairperson, Susan Davis: We were very happy to have honored the staff at Newton Medical Center. Newton Medical Center has been providing care to the people of Sussex and Warren counties in New Jersey, Pike County in Pennsylvania and southern Orange County in New York since 1932. SCEA provided dinner on Saturday, April 26 and dinner on Wednesday, April 29th. The staff enjoyed 200 sandwiches from Hayek’s Market in Newton. NJ. In addition, on Monday, May 18, Gillian Raye ( SCEA Vice President), Debbie Simmons (SCEA Treasurer), and Stacy Yanko (SCEA Webmaster) joined Susan Davis (SCEA Pride Chair and NJEA Executive Committee member) in thanking Hayek’s for working with us on feeding essential workers at Newton Memorial Hospital. We also delivered grab and go snacks for the medical staff at Newton Memorial Hospital along with a thank you sign. Dawn Sullivan, Special Events Coordinator, worked with Susan Davis to coordinate the delivery of the meals and snacks provided through our NJEA Pride Grant.
