On Friday, June 5, some of the SCEA officers and executive committee members made the final delivery of snacks to Newton Memorial Hospital as made possible by NJEA PRIDE funding.  A special thank you to Susan Davis for her work as the county PRIDE chair and for making the purchases and arrangements, so we could support our essential hospital workers!

Please see the message Newton Memorial Hospital shared with us below:

Thank You to Our Community –
On behalf of everyone at Newton Medical Center, we want to express our gratitude to our incredible community for your tremendous generosity during this pandemic. The outpouring of food donations, monetary donations and urgently needed medical equipment made a tremendous difference, to all of those who have been working tirelessly on the front lines, battling COVID-19.

Your words of encouragement kept us strong and able to fight this pandemic with courage and compassion. Your support has been overwhelming and has demonstrated the strength of our community: coming together to care for our patients.

We extend a heartfelt thank you to you and to all the individuals, businesses and community organizations who have shared their time, talents and gifts to show their appreciation for our caregivers. Words cannot express how appreciative we are of the outpouring of kindness and support.

We consider it our privilege to be here to care for you and your family. As always, your gifts to the Foundation truly make a difference, and will continue to do so in the weeks and months ahead.

Stay safe and be well!

With deepest gratitude,
